Extension overview

What this extension helps you do.

Odexly Draft Guard helps protect text and rich-text drafts while users write in browser fields, editors, forms, comments, messages, support replies, and other online writing areas.

It is designed for moments when content may be lost because of refreshes, closed tabs, navigation mistakes, form resets, failed submissions, page errors, or unexpected interruptions.

Core capabilities

  • Automatic draft saving with configurable timing for supported text fields.
  • A compact field toolbar that keeps restore and draft controls close to the active writing area.
  • Draft history, recovery, and pinned drafts for important or reusable content.
  • A management view for reviewing, restoring, pinning, cleaning up, and organizing saved drafts.
  • Rich text preservation where the target editor and browser environment support it.
  • Light and dark interface modes for comfortable writing workflows.

Practical workflows

  • Recover long replies after a page reload, crash, or failed submit.
  • Keep important notes, unfinished replies, and reusable messages easy to find.
  • Reduce the need to copy writing into a separate document before submitting forms or messages.

Install and first use

  1. 1Start typing online: Write in a supported field, form, editor, comment box, or message area.
  2. 2Choose the save behavior: Use the field toolbar to adjust timing, restore actions, and draft controls.
  3. 3Recover when needed: Open the saved draft history, find the right version, and restore it back into the writing area.
